Obviously the roof of a house is important, as it protects people from the elements while also providing warmth and a place to love and take care of each other, but there are so many aspects of the roof that need constant maintenance to enable it to do it's job adequately. Other than cleaning the roof, measures must be taken to spot weaknesses or deficiencies in the roof that may compromise the entirety of it. Sometimes, the roof's outer layer needs replacing entirely, and the stripping of the old roof is to ensure no damage is done to the structural integrity of the roof, which helps protect the house from undesirable outcomes such as mold, water damage, or wood rot.
Of course, roof replacement and repair is a lot of work, but thankfully it is not something that needs to be done too frequently. However, the build up of things that need repairing often leads to people and agencies waiting until enough of a mess has been made before opting to clean it because no one wants to be up on a roof more than they need to. The maintenance of a roof is important, and the care and work put in must be of the utmost quality. Hampton County in South Carolina is looking for agencies to replace the roof of two buildings in the district. The scope of work includes but is not limited to removing loose gravel from the roofs, performing a thermal scan to locate compromised insulation areas, and installing wood block nailers around the perimeter of the roof for proper installation and termination of the TPO membrane.
